De Boekentoren (Book Tower) in Ghent Belgium is an architectural masterpiece (1936-1942) by the Belgian architect Henry Van de Velde and it will be thoroughly renovated. At the invitation of this University Library, Karin Borghouts photographed the empty building just before the works were starting.
