Dear reader

September, the last month of Vincent was here at the Rossaert Antwerp! You are most welcome. I will be present myself on Sunday 12 and 26th.

Basket with lemons and a bottle (after Van Gogh) 54 x 64 cm, archival pigment print, framed.

Vincent was here

Vincent was here is a visual investigation exploring the boundary between photography and painting and inspired by the view of Vincent van Gogh.

The exhibition in the Rossaert focuses on still lifes. Dark northern still lifes in chiaroscuro combined with exuberantly colourful bouquets and still lifes reminiscent of Vincent's southern period. In addition, several interiors and places where Van Gogh stayed are shown. All these pictures are for sale in a limited edition. De Rossaert is a branch of Gallery Ronny Van de Velde.

This Vincent was here exhibition is part of the AntwerpPhoto Festival that takes place in the nearby Loodswezen (near the MAS). A walk has been mapped out from the Loodswezen that visits the photo galleries in Antwerp.
