'You are here' in Knokke

Waterschoot.

Curator Daan Rau chose images of indefinable places, no-places that are nevertheless places in the world where people come or have been or could come. Yet they are images on which no thinking being can be seen, images of a deserted planet, a deserted city or a deserted place.

Boekentoren (book tower) Ghent

Karin Borghouts was invited to photograph the beautifully renovated interiors of De Boekentoren (book tower) in Ghent. Designed in the 1930s by the Belgian architect Henry van de Velde, it has housed the Ghent university library since 1942. The renovation and expansion was designed by Robbrecht en Daem architecten.

De Boekentoren is still closed to the public due to the restoration and will reopen in several phases in 2021.
