Fotoboek A Painter's House

A Painter's House pictures the house of the artist Marten Melsen (1870-1947). It is something of a miracle that this house has been preserved until now. The interiors and objects show a time that is now past, but still recalls memories. This photography book contains some 70 photos by Karin Borghouts, is published by Snoeck Publishers in a design by Jean-Michel Meyers and with text in Dutch, French and English by Jan H. Melsen, grandson of the painter.

A Painter's House is a personal project of Karin Borghouts. This will be the second book in the same series as THE HOUSE, published in 2021.

Release on September 11, 2022 Open Monument Day.

The project "Museum to scale 1/7" by Ronny and Jessy Van de Velde was given a permanent home in the University of Antwerp, but the small museum that Karin Borghouts designed for it is now temporarily on display in the M HKA, together with the artwork of Marcel Broodthaers and Panamarenko.
