Vincent was here

Karin Borghouts followed in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh and portrayed more of 100 Van Gogh locations. She also reconstructed and photographed Van Gogh's still lifes. The photographs were published in the photography book Vincent was Here, a co-edition with Ronny Van de Velde.

The photo exhibitions Vincent was Here by Karin Borghouts and No photos from Van Gogh by Hans de Kort can be visited at the Van GoghHuis Zundert. Zundert is the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh, is located just across the Belgian border and is a beautiful walking and cycling area.

Paris Impasse

The photo book PARIS IMPASSE - the prototype was nominated at Les Rencontres de la photographie Arles 2019 (Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award) - will be published this autumn. Paris Impasse contains more of 220 photos of dead-end streets in Paris. Most of the photos were made during an artist-in-residence period with thanks to the Flemish government.

A video made for The Night of the Year 2020 in Arles can now be seen online. The video was made during the lockdown by Lena Watters and Karin Borghouts video, Dirk Veulemans music and Jean-Michel Meyers graphic design.
